Thank you

Thank you everybody for all of your lovely comments..and for accepting me into your little community xxxxxx

(and to Nina..who's lovelier than a Blue Peter Presenter..and probably much better with old egg boxes and sticky backed plastic too come to think of it..♥)

Wowzers flowzers!

A couple of pretty flowers just because!

Cosy!

This is my latest masterpiece, I'm sooo proud! I sat and worked out the other day that I could make a super little cottage with my wool scraps..lots of beige and brown..so I decided to make a tea cosy. I just started from scratch..no pattern and this is what I came up with (sorry if the pictures are a bit fuzzy, I'm tired tonight and am not at my photographic best!! - oh and it is straight in real life - it's just the angle which makes it look all wonky!! Once I dig out a teapot from the leftover housemoving boxes I will show you it in it's full glory!))

More hats..

Here is a jester's hat for a little girl, although I don't like the white wool, so I'm thinking of replacing it with white ribbon..ideas??

These are two hats I have made as a gift for a friend who has two little boys, it's the same pattern, but one is knitted and the other crocheted. I love the little knot in the top..the pattern comes from a magazine I found in a local shop in the 'out of date' pile..

The Blue Box!

So I was reading dutch blue's blog the other day..and she had a box for unfinished projects..and as I had a small empty blue box handy and an overflowing bag of wool, finished projects and unfinished projects I decided to organise myself a little bit..so this evening I thought I'd show you some of the delights in my little box...

Thank you..

What am I thankful for..well apart from the obvious (my beautiful family, our health, the roof over our heads and the food in our mouths) this year I am thankful for friends.

Making friends in France has never been easy and with moving house so often I have often felt alone, but this year I have made so many friends around me..

And online, in this wierd old world of internet I have also created wonderful friendships..people who are thousands of miles away, but are just as important (and loved) as those who live in my street.

So what are you thankful for?

Katy

ps I'm happy to make more friends if you want to leave a comment!

pps here is the link to the amazing SweetMyrtle blog where this all began

The last colours of my garden.

As the title said..these are the last colourful things left in my sad almost wintery garden..and a couple of them look as if they're on their way out too :-(
